We really like your torque springs.  They don't soften during a race.  Works just as good at the end of the moto as the start.  Everyone should check them out!!!

Welcome to Zero Tolerance Racing Products LLC. (ZTR Products), where we strive to build premium product for the zero tolerance racer.   ZTR Products has been built with quality as the foundation.

ZTR Products was established to help aid racers and riders with the problems that they experience. It began with the humble yet indispensable chain tensioner.  While on vacation in 2007 I met a couple of national racers that had a problem losing their chains.  Thus began the challenge of producing a better and higher quality chain tensioner that would prevent the chain from jumping off the sprocket.  This has since led to other challenges such as producing a better torque or compression spring for the CVT engines.  What is now known as the ‘ZTR Chain Tensioner’ was first designed for the mini quad arena but as things have progressed other applications have arose, i.e.  big quads, mini rails, sand rails, trophy karts, hill climber motorcycles with 48” swing arms and this is just to name a few.  It has become quite the universal chain tensioner with 20 different configurations available and two torsion springs LH and RH.  It comes in 4 different colors black, blue, gold and red to fit any color scheme you might have.  For more information on the ‘ZTR Chain Tensioner’ please follow the product tab.

A little background information on the founders of ZTR Products:  Johnny and I (James) are brothers who share a brain, as some would say.  Johnny is a Professional Mechanical Engineer with an extensive background that includes designing components for Raytheon and customizing commercial aircraft .  I myself have a background in Math and Physics which equates to problem solving.  I now work in a precision machine shop (Triple D Machine Inc.) where we manufacture precision components for companies like Raytheon, Siemens Applied Automation, ABB Total Flow and Parker Hannifin just to name a few.

Triple D Machine Inc. was established in 1978 and specializes in producing highly precision parts from as small as .050” and as large as 12” in diameter.  The facilities’ listing includes 21 CNC machines, 11 CNC Lathes and 10 CNC Mills.  Along with this comes all the necessary equipment for proper measurement down to .00001”.  In other words we know how to manufacture premium products.  On another note, for those looking for a quality machine shop we would be more than happy to quote your job.

Thanks for visiting our website, enjoy your stay.

These high performance torque springs constructed of a proprietary alloy that performs better than titanium for the application.

CAUTION, ENGINEERING LANGUAGE BELOW.  PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Q.  What does that mean that it performs better?

A.  It means that these torque springs are going to give you repeatable results during racing that is unmatched as these springs will hold their spring constant over repeated compression/elongation cycles and during temperature stresses.  If the torque spring maintains a steady spring constant, then the shifting points of the torque will remain the same allowing the rider to depend on his/her machine.

Q.  What is a spring constant?

A.  A spring constant is a term used to describe the stiffness of a spring and is commonly measured in pounds per inch.  For example, a spring with a spring constant of 33 lb/in means that if you apply a 33 lb force to a spring it will compress (in our case for the torque spring) one inch.  A spring constant is defined as F=k*x where k is the spring constant, x is the distance traveled and F is the force applied.  There is a wealth of knowledge on the internet on springs .

We will keep this page updated with availability information.  We at Zero Tolerance Racing (ZTR) Products are very excited about our new products.  We have many more in development from electronics, engine performance, and suspension products.
