This High Performance Chain Tensioner is available for purchase.  Until our online store is completed we are taking orders over the phone.  Please contact us at (580) 317-7258 for any orders.

PERFORMANCE UPDATE:

We have had this atv chain tensioner on three different ATV's which have been in over ten races not to mention practice before the races.  Since this chain tensioner has been implemented not one chain has been dropped off of a sprocket.  I think that is saying something.  This is a very high quality product that will last.  We have tested this product and are VERY SATISFIED with it.

We have designed a new chain tensioner that will keep the chain on your atv or motorcycle in the most rigorous environments.  It is so innovative that we are getting a patent on it!

We are designing models for every type of bike and aftermarket suspension.   If we don't have it for your bike, then please contact us.

You are probably wondering:

What is so important about it?
What makes it better than what I can already buy?

Well, since you asked, we will tell you.  We will state our process for developing this exciting new product.

DETERMINE THE PROBLEM:

We found out from racers that they have a problem with their chains popping off of their sprockets.  It has caused lost races and accidents.

We took a current design that is very standard for racers.  We determined that it needed to be built with closer tolerances to reduce "slop" in the movement of the chain tensioner.  The excessive "slop" in current atv chain tensioners cause the angle of movement of the chain tensioner to change differently than the angle change of the chain (basically, the angles of the chain and tensioner are different and cause the chain to be pushed to the side).  When the chain has a side force applied from a badly manufactured chain tensioner it causes the chain to "pop" off of the sprocket.

We also determined that the biggest problem is the roller.  If the chain was allowed to move excessively sideways on the roller, then it was more likely to come off of the sprocket.

SOLVE THE PROBLEM:

We developed the special roller geometry by analyzing how the chain reacts when the atv or motorcycle takes jumps.  The roller encapsulates the chain and allows it to only move a specified distance which is customizable by the user.

We have a lot of experience (nearly 70 years of combined experience) in making precision CNC machined parts (What is CNC? ).

A stress analysis was conducted on all of the pieces to ensure that the design is very robust and able to stand up to a harsh environment.

WHO CAN USE IT?

Motocross racers, quad racers, extreme racers, anyone who is tired of their chain coming off of their sprocket.

RESULTS:

Oh, yeah baby!  This thing is awesome!  Sorry, I got a little carried away.  I meant to say, "THIS THING IS BETTER THAN SLICED BREAD!".  Sorry, this isn't very professional.

This new design performs great.  We at Zero Tolerance Racing Products strive to bring you the best.
